You know how sometimes you purposefully want to put on a song or movie that’s going to make you cry? Or, better yet, break down in ugly sobs while you’re driving home in the rain? It’s ok, we all do it too. In my opinion, it’s honestly pretty healthy. You know, giving yourself the little push you need to release any pent-up stuff. Well, recently, and especially while creating our upcoming Nostalgia Issue, I’ve been doing this a LOT — but for my inner child. We’ve already chatted about this topic a little bit, but, basically, I’ve been giving myself a lot of space to re-visit the music, shows, and movies that my 8-year-old self would’ve loved. I dance, I sing, I heal; the whole nine, really. And, even though I fully understand that some of you maybe be deeply embarrassed by the content you enjoyed in The Justice Era (RIP), I highly recommend setting some time aside for adequate reminiscing.
Whether you choose to get into it with some friends, or you’d rather tackle it alone (same), we’re here to give you a fool-proof list of songs, TV shows, and movies that’ll take you right back. Warning: memories will be uncovered and things may get serious. But all in good fun!
